How should you prepare for the Salomon Run Supradyn® 2020?
During your training prior to the Salomon Run Supradyn® 2020, your body will significantly increase its energy consumption, requiring an additional supply of vitamins and minerals in order to be at its best. Supradyn® Energy Extra can support you in this process of adaptation and help you perform in situations of high physical exertion.
15 tips from Supradyn® so you’re at your best before, during and after the race:
Start training at least three months in advance. The level of fitness needed to tackle a race of this kind can be achieved in two or three months, as long as the objective is to finish the race, not to get a record time. However, if you lead a totally sedentary life, you should start training six months earlier and try to train at least three times a week.
First of all, increase your endurance. Acquiring good physical stamina is the priority when starting to run, so that the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems can adapt to the race. Afterwards, you can start to do 800 and 1,500 metre series to vary your training.
Combine it with other sports. Practicing other sports aside from running, such as tennis, football or paddle tennis, will help increase your stamina. The key is to be moving all the time.
It’s better to train in parks than on the street. Asphalt is very hard to run on and it can be counterproductive to train on it. The best thing to do is to run in parks with dirt tracks and on athletics tracks, leaving the asphalt for the day of the competition.
Feed your body with good fuel for your workout. Try to maintain a balanced diet to help you meet the nutritional needs of your training. If your busy, jam-packed life does not allow you to do so, you can take Supradyn® Energy Extra as a multivitamin supplement, since its formula contains the vitamins and minerals necessary for this testing time and physical exertion.
On the day of the race:
Rest before the race. Rest is essential. It’s best not to train the day before the race, although if necessary, a maximum of 20–30 minutes is possible.
Warm up well to ensure a good start. In order to start the race with enough strength, it’s advisable to stretch prior to running. For example: skipping exercises (bringing your thighs up to your chest by raising your knees) and sprinting for about 60 metres.
Don't eat anything three hours before the competition. Although you don’t have to follow a strict diet for a 10 km race like the Salomon Run Supradyn® 2020, you should follow a balanced diet and avoid eating three hours before the race.
Stay hydrated before the race, not just during it. It is very important to get to the race properly hydrated, as well as staying hydrated during the race.
Set your own pace. If you want to finish the race in good shape, pace yourself during the course of it.
Preparing yourself for running. Help yourself to be at your best from the moment you start training by taking one Supradyn® Energy Extra tablet a day, preferably with breakfast. That way you'll help your body overcome challenges like the Salomon Run Supradyn® 2020.
After the race, more hydration. After the Salomon Run Supradyn® 2020 your body will need to rehydrate itself and replenish the minerals it has lost through sweating. With water and Supradyn® Energy Extra, you can get back to your optimal strength and speed up the muscles’ recovery process.
Active rest and massage. After all that exertion your muscles will be inflamed, so we recommend an ice bath to reduce the after effects.
Eat with moderation. Even after the race you will still need to eat well. A speedy recovery will only be possible if you eat foods rich in carbohydrates, and of course protein.
Help your body enjoy a quick recovery. Taking Supradyn® Energy Extra is a great way to recover all those vitamins and minerals that you’ll need. Its formula, rich in vitamins C and E as well as selenium and zinc, will continue to protect your cells from oxidative damage caused by overexertion. What’s more, the extra dose of vitamin D, calcium and magnesium will support the proper functioning of your muscles.
